In 2023, Elon Musk is Planning to Send Dogecoin (DOGE) to the Moon: Here’s the Details
The social media platform Twitter recently hosted a post from “DogeDesigner” (@cb_doge) announcing the upcoming DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon, a space exploration venture spearheaded by the tech mogul Elon Musk and his company SpaceX.
On April 1 of 2021, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and tech billionaire, announced on Twitter that SpaceX was planning to “put a literal Dogecoin on the Moon.” One month later, the crypto community learned the purpose of this tweet.
SpaceX has plans to launch a spacecraft loaded with Dogecoin to the lunar surface.
Musk proposed a mission where a satellite would be propelled into a lunar orbit, and he offered to pay for it with the now-popular meme coin, DOGE.
The latest update, as stated in the tweet, is that the moon mission is now projected to be launched no sooner than the third quarter of this year.
SpaceX has provided Samuel Reid GEC with an update about the DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon and the launch is slated to take place no earlier than the third quarter of 2023. The mission will consist of executing a propulsion burn in order to achieve a Translunar Injection, which is necessary for the spacecraft to enter the Lunar Orbit. @YourTimeInSpace https://t.co/8zPfuExwTO pic.twitter.com/YwpyYPAgx8
On December 31st, “DogeDesigner” tweeted that the DOGE-1 mission to the moon was to take place not before March of 2023. However, new information has surfaced since then.
The Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) paid SpaceX in Dogecoin for this mission, making it the first ever space mission to be completely financed with cryptocurrency. GEC claims that the meme token is sufficient to bankroll a space mission. Samuel Reid, CEO of GEC, has declared that DOGE has become the currency of choice for all lunar business transactions.
When Musk tweeted the news, many people assumed it was an April Fool’s prank. Yet, when SpaceX declared their DOGE-1 Moon Mission, the value of the crypto currency based off the original dog token, which was originally made as a joke concerning Bitcoin, enhanced by 10% on the Binance trading platform.
In the last day, DOGE has dropped by around 8%, with its current price being $0.08199.
Earlier in the year, U.Today reported on a BEP20 token called DOGE-1 that was developed on the Binance Smart Chain. This token claims to offer rewards in Dogecoin.
Inevitable360, a Dogecoin developer, tweeted about the DOGE-1 team, claiming that they are “trying to dupe shibes” by using the name of a space mission.
One of the most effective means of avoiding plagiarism is to restructure the text, changing the order of the words and sentences without altering the context or the semantic meaning. This can be done to create an original piece of writing while still conveying the same message.
